Newark, NJ, August 26, 2004 – IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT, IDT.C), a multinational telecom, entertainment and technology company, announced today that WMET 1160 AM, its owned and operated radio station in Washington, D.C., will provide live coverage from the Republican National Convention in New York City. Participating WMET hosts Geoff Metcalf, Linda Chavez, Shmuley Boteach and Jeff Katz, will broadcast live from opening day, Monday, August 30th, through closing day, Thursday, September 2nd. Select WMET hosts also reported live from the recent Democratic National Convention in Boston.

WMET’s convention coverage features Geoff Metcalf from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, Linda Chavez from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, Shmuley Boteach from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Jeff Katz, the latest addition to WMET’s lineup, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
As a radio host, Jeff Katz has received numerous honors including being named one of the 100 Best Talk Show Hosts by TALKERS Magazine. Mr. Katz brings a life-long interest in politics and the street-smart perspective of an ex-Philadelphia cop to his WMET talk radio program. While in Philadelphia, Mr. Katz was selected by The Achievement in Radio Awards as that city’s best talk show host and was also the recipient of the Jack Anderson Award for excellence in journalism. The Jeff Katz Show is broadcast on WMET Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
